The Danone game

Today is the day. Me and my five friends woke ourselves up early today to head to Paris for the "Trust Danone Management Game". After a long train ride we arrived at the Haussman/Printemps shopping district of the city, where the headquarter of Danone is.

There were a lot of teams waiting outside of the building already. Once we went inside the building, the first thing that the security did was taking away my camera! They said it was for security and confidentiality reasons... oh well,

We then were led to our individual team rooms where we start the game. The entire game is sort like the econ project for Engineering Economics, except you do everything in a computer program. The main program has a ticker that tracks the time. The sub sections of the program has different tasks arrive in real time that you are supposed to complete and submit the answers.

The whole day was really fun. We engage in discussions mostly in french and together we make up our proposals for the scenarios that were given to us.

The main problem that we had was time. In the end there were too many tasks that we had to prioritize and select.

The results were sent to us one week later and unfortunately we were not selected to go to the country final, but the fun I've had during the day was while worth every single piece of effort put into it.
