Day 4 British Museum

Japanese sword

Martin left me for Frankfort on the last day of the trip. I started the day myself with a nice easy stroll in Hyde Park. I then marched on Oxford street for some "Window shoping".

The main goal of the day was to visit the British Museum. It is simply one of the most impressive museums I've ever seen. The giant building is separated into 4 wings each carrying the collections from a specific geographic area. The high lights are the asian, roman, and egyptian collection.

"Love and Respect"

"The Judge", a chinese myth character. He is supposed to be the one who tracks the good things and bad things in your life, and when you die, he will decide whether you go to heaven or hell.

The British Museum. Simply Awesome. Wide range of collections.

They feel very safe being near humans.

Morning view in Hyde Park.

Day 3

Underground path for the station "Notting hill Gate". This is where they shot the movie.

Day 3 was relatively quite, we wondered around the town a bit more. Things were extremely expensive. I can't imaging living how much would it cost to live there for a long time.

Day 2

Change of guards in front of the Buckingham palace.

On the second day we went to Buckingham palace to see the change of guards. It was a very formal procedure but in all honesty, wasn't very interesting.

We also visited the National Gallary. Amazing collection of paintings but unfortunately, photos weren't allowed.

Day 1 London!!

Tower bridge by night. Beautiful view.

To celebrate the end of exams and the short vacation. I and Martin, decided to hit the capital city of England, London for 4 days. It's one of those cities that you can not miss when you hit Europe.

The first day consisted of mostly site seeing the famous monuments.

The front door of Buckingham Palace where the Queen lives.

Another famous tourist spot, the london eye. Unfortunately it was closed due to maintenance constructions.

The tower bridge. Probably the most famous bridge here in london, The bridge is held up by two castle like towers. It is situated on the Thames River.

London Bridge. You know you are in london when...

I am alive and kicking

That was the longest streak without updates.
Now that exams are over, and I just came back from a trip to london. I have loads of memories to share.

The Danone game

Today is the day. Me and my five friends woke ourselves up early today to head to Paris for the "Trust Danone Management Game". After a long train ride we arrived at the Haussman/Printemps shopping district of the city, where the headquarter of Danone is.

There were a lot of teams waiting outside of the building already. Once we went inside the building, the first thing that the security did was taking away my camera! They said it was for security and confidentiality reasons... oh well,

We then were led to our individual team rooms where we start the game. The entire game is sort like the econ project for Engineering Economics, except you do everything in a computer program. The main program has a ticker that tracks the time. The sub sections of the program has different tasks arrive in real time that you are supposed to complete and submit the answers.

The whole day was really fun. We engage in discussions mostly in french and together we make up our proposals for the scenarios that were given to us.

The main problem that we had was time. In the end there were too many tasks that we had to prioritize and select.

The results were sent to us one week later and unfortunately we were not selected to go to the country final, but the fun I've had during the day was while worth every single piece of effort put into it.
