Italy - Rome - Day 1
I took the plane with EasyJet and arrived in Rome on the 20th of July. I was the first to arrive before Richard and Melanie (A friend from Montreal who came to visit). My first trip was to the famous tourist spots. Colosseum.
The romans must be really good civil engineers, although the building looked fairly beaten up, and there must had been a lot of money put into restorations, it had stood years and years of wethering. It will probably continue to last if maintained properly.
However it also resembles the savageness of human nature, as it was a spectator theater for the slaughtering of animals and humans. The center of the Colosseum is opened up, so you can see the underground tunnels and cages. I suppose that's where the prisoners and the animals were kept.
I wanted to wait for Richard and Melanie to come before really visiting all the touristy spots, so I spent the whole day wondering around the town and sightseeing. The result was a great mix.
